The IEA team has teamed up with the leading teachers at St. Mary’s Catholic College to bring a holistic teacher training progress that encompasses the design thinking approach alongside the latest and vital technological tools for the 21st Century classroom – all centred around teaching strategies and classroom implementation.
This 2x full-day Design Mastery will be fully catered and offer all-inclusive sessions and practical, hands on experiences for teachers including:
Day 1
“The Thinking”
Design Thinking is an approach to learning that focuses on developing students’ creative confidence and facilitate a proven formula for innovation. Our team with the support of various industry partners are delivering a highly rated design thinking training that encompasses Research, Ideation, Sketching and Lo-fi Prototyping, centred around Design Thinking in the classroom with suitable Teaching Strategies.

Day 2
“The Tools & Technology”
Part 1:
SketchUp is a 3D modelling computer program for a wide range of drawing applications such as architectural, interior design, landscape architecture, civil and mechanical engineering, film and video game design. It has become one of the most influential tools within the design industry and a key skill for tertiary level students. Its user-friendly application and direct link to 3D printing and VR makes it the perfect tool for the classroom today!

Part 2:
VR is becoming a vital tool in every industry and the education sector is embracing its change with its all-encompassing benefits. This introductory session on Virtual Reality (VR), centred around the delivery and technology with suitable Teaching Strategies will allow teachers to gain insight into all of it’s benefits and understand exactly how to integrate this technology within the classroom.

- Time: 9am – 3.30pm (arrive at 8.30am)

Investment:
- Full day access to both days + all supporting resources – $329 + GST per teacher;
- Single day access + all supporting resources for the chosen day – $274 + GST per teacher
